Idaho’s agriculture industry is quite
concerned with the water supply levels of the state. The
last few years have been somewhat dry, and water supplies have
gotten lower each year.
www.wcc.nrcs.usda.gov/snow/ The USDA-NRCS SNOTEL Data Network
reports information such as water equivalent reports and
precipitation data.
For those of you
in the Magic Valley who are dependent on the Snake River for
irrigation water, the two basins you are concerned with are the
Henry’s Fork/Teton Basins and the Snake Basin Above Palisades.
Those of you on
the Salmon Tract need to be concerned with the Salmon Falls Basin,
and the Big and Little Wood Basins service anyone dependent on the
Big and Little Wood Rivers’ water.
