Cardiovascular disease (CVD), like
heart disease and stroke, is the number one killer of Americans.
The factors that increase a person's risk of CVD (such as high
blood pressure, high blood cholesterol, obesity, smoking, physical
inactivity, and diabetes) can be reduced by making some lifestyle
changes. The good news is that with a little information, a
few skills, and a bit of motivation, these changes can be made.
