This program
teaches food safety, as it applies in
Idaho
food service settings, to high school students. Students can
receive a State of
Idaho—approved certificate in food safety.
The curriculum is
divided into nine lessons and requires four to nine hours to
teach, plus an additional hour for students to take the exam.
If students pass the exam (a score of 80% or better), they will
receive a food safety and sanitation certificate. This
training is approved for compliance with the mandatory supervisor
training requirements of Section 02.19400.02 of the Rules
Governing Food Safety and Sanitation Standards for Food
Establishments (UNICODE).
The curriculum
consists of a binder containing nine lessons, a CD with PowerPoint
slides for each of the nine lessons, a CD with instructions for
all the activities, student “fill-in” notes, and the exam.
