Horticulture

The University of Idaho Extension promotes awareness and educates the public on the science and art of horticulture. Informal, not-for-credit classes are offered periodically on various gardening topics, such as Landscape Design, Native Plant Propagation, Shade and Fruit Tree Pruning, and Landscape design.  We do offer presentations to gardening clubs and other interested groups.

Master Gardener Program

The Payette County Extension also offers Master Gardener classes annually.  If you would like to broaden your knowledge of gardening and assist your local County Extension Offices by helping residents with their garden and landscape problems, sign up for the Master Gardener program.

Contact us to get registration details.

Our next session Master Gardener Program will be offered in 2012.

We have information on almost any gardening question you might have and we have access to lots of publications.  We have tried to provide a range of publications that gardeners have questions about on this website.  If you can't find what your are looking for, our office is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday - Friday.  Master Gardeners are available seasonally one day a week for diagnosing horticultural problems.  Please come browse our wonderful library full of books on landscaping, pests, and various specialty gardening topics.

We welcome your questions and quests for horticulture information!
