2008 4-H AND FFA FAIR SCHEDULE

JULY

22-25_ Leaders, parents or members to call the Extension Office (934-4417) to schedule livestock project

interviews for August 4, 2008; all animal projects except for junior and intermediate market

projects will be interviewed.

29_ Style Revue narrations due in Extension Office by 4:00 p.m.

AUGUST

1_ All non-market Animal Portfolios (Involvement Report, record book, story and required

supplemental forms) due in Extension Office by 5:00 p.m.

All animal entry forms (for all non-market projects) due in Ext. Office by 5:00 pm.

All Horse Show entry forms and fees due in Extension Office by 5:00 pm.

All FFA entry forms due in Extension Office by 5:00 pm.

1_ Registration deadline for County 4-H Oral Presentation Contest.

1-6_ Leaders, parents or members to call the Extension Office (934-4417) to schedule non-animal

project interviews for August 11, 2008.

4_ 4-H Horse and Livestock Interviews, 3-7:00 p.m.; members must schedule an interview time by

July 25.

4_ Horse Skills Contest, 3-7:00 p.m.

4_ Consignment Forms for market projects due in Extension Office.

4_ Deadline for leaders to notify office of FCS and miscellaneous projects that won’t be completed

by August 11 judging day.

4-8_ Judging of animal record books; market project books are due by August 22, 2008.

4-H/FFA Breeding Show to follow Market Classes

9:00 a.m. Clubs can decorate their club area in Exhibit Hall until 5:00 p.m.

3-4:00 p.m. Beef weigh-in, Beef Barn (All Beef in Barn by 4:00 p.m.)

4:30 p.m. Beef Member Project Meeting, across road from Beef Barn

5:30 p.m. 4-H & FFA members meet with swine judge in Beef Barn

10:00 p.m. RELEASE OF ALL EXHIBITS!!!

August 18-September 8_ Award and buyer thank you notes due in Extension Office, stamped,

addressed and ready for mailing.
