Cassia County is geographically the 7th largest county in
the state and ranks 14th among counties in population.
The county covers 2,577 square miles bounded on the north by
the Snake River and on the south, mountains extending to
Nevada and Utah. It is agriculturally-oriented, and
ranks 2nd in the state for total farm income. |

Cooperative Extension is an education system linking county
Extension offices with the University of Idaho and the United
State Department of Agriculture. The purpose of the
Cooperative Extension System is to provide help with issues and
problems that individuals, families and communities face in daily
living. Professional educators, located in county offices provide
existing and research-based knowledge and information through
bulletins, classes, workshops and conferences.
