University
of Idaho Extension is an education resource partnership between
the USDA, University of Idaho and Bonner County. The
purpose of University Extension is to provide assistance with
issues and problems that individuals, families and communities
face in daily living. Professional educators, located in
county offices, provide existing and research-based knowledge
and information through workshops, seminars, publications,
newsletters, tours and demonstrations.
Programming areas in Bonner County
include: community development,
commercial horticulture- nursery/greenhouses and small farms,
home horticulture, Master Gardeners, natural resources and 4-H
Youth Programming.
The University of Idaho Bonner
County Teleconferencing Center is also located at the Extension
office. The Teleconferencing Center provides educational
and service opportunities to businesses, non-profit
organizations, community groups and individuals all through
compressed tele-video conferencing.
