4-H Scholarships
Blaine county 4-H Leaders Council awarded $500 scholarships to Leah McIlhenny and Cody Baird. Both have been 4-H members with animal projects for several years. Leah McIlhenny is a member of the Feedem 'n' Leadem 4-H Club and has been active in ENTHUSE, teen leadership group, for 3 years. She helped remodel the 4-H fair building in 2005. Leah has been involved in several service projects as well as fundraisers. Cody Baird belongs to the Blaine County Bummers. In 2006, Cody partnered with Brittany Hennefer to lead the Silent Auction fundraiser at the fair. They were able to present the leaders over $1800 in revenue. Cody has been active in helping with several community service learning projects throughout his 4-H career. A special thanks to all of the Scholarship Applicants. Scores were so close and they all were exceptional 4-H members, students, and community partners.
