Benewah County 4-H Program

 

The Vision

4-H...A leader in developing Idaho's youth to become responsible, productive citizens, meeting the changing needs of a diverse society.

The Mission

4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential through working and learning in partnership with caring adults.

   
 

4-H Age

 

The 4-H age of an individual is the age of the youth on January 1 of the current 4-H year (which runs from October 1 to September 30).  4-H is open to all youth ages 5-19.  Cloverbuds is a non-competitive educational program for youth ages 5-7 years designed to introduce young children to 4-H in a fun, non-competitive way.  4-H members ages 8-19 years are eligible to participate in all programs offered by 4-H, including competitive activities/events.

 

4-H Deadlines for the

2007-08 4-H year

 

The preliminary enrollment deadline for returning members and leaders is February 1, 2008.  The final enrollment deadline for members and leaders is March 3, 2008

Benewah County 4-H Leader's

Association

 

The newly formed Benewah County 4-H Leader's Association had it's first meeting on April 14, 2008.  The Leader's Association will meet the second Monday of every month at     6 pm and the Livestock Committee meets directly before at 5:30 pm.  To view the by-laws and the minutes click on the appropriate topic below.

Enrollment Fees

A minimal enrollment fee is collected annually from every 4-H member to help offset the cost of 4-H project materials and provide members with accident insurance coverage whenever they are participating in approved 4-H activities/events.
