The 4-H Meeting

The 4-H meeting consists of three parts:  business, program and recreation.  Each part is important.  Each contributes a different kind of learning situation to those participating.  The pattern of the meeting is up to each group; there is no set pattern for every meeting.

It is particularly important that leaders decide on one or two specific things they want the 4-H’ers to go away knowing.  Without this clear-cut plan, meetings can become unorganized and frustrating for both members and leaders.  You might try assigning small groups to plan each meeting and then have group reports on the plans for upcoming meetings.
