The Family &
Consumer Science Council
meets the first Thursday of the month following the
Leader's Association Meeting (except July, August, and
December) at approximately 7:30 pm at the Extension
Office. During July, the Council meeting is held
at the Western Idaho Fairgrounds on the date that is
announced during the club year. 4-H leaders,
parents and other interest persons are invited and
welcome to attend both the association meeting and the
council meetings.
FCS Council exists to help provide
leaders, parents and members with information that will assist
with success in their chosen project areas.
The Council discusses business pertinent to the home
economics and miscellaneous projects in Ada County and provides
leaders and parents with opportunities to obtain subject matter
training. They also help with district and state activities.
Each year officers and committee chairs are elected
and/or appointed to help facilitate these activities.
